Even More Re-Releases of former T&D Stuff

Unread postby GreatNortherner » Fri Nov 15, 2019 1:11 pm

Hi,

I think I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Or is that a train? Nah. Gotta be daylight.

So here are a few more of the old things that have been hiding for far too long now. I've just re-released three more of the old add-ons that used to be available at Trains & Drivers, again as freeware but without much (if any at all) updating.

Today's releases are:

Lehigh Valley Freight Pack

BNSF PS-2 Hopper

BN Mill Gondola

Not many left now.

Cheers

Very nice to re-release these as freeware, I'll definitely get use out of those BN mill gons.

Hi,

There are now three more:

NP Early 20th Century Freight:
http://golden-age-rails.com/packsrw/npsteam20c.html

NP Late 19th Century Freight:
http://golden-age-rails.com/packsrw/npsteam19.html

NYC Coal Hoppers (though these have been available here at RWA all the time, too):
http://golden-age-rails.com/packsrw/hopnyc.html

To my knowledge, that leaves only the two old USRA boxcar packs and the Budd RDCs. And a few old repaints that may or may not be hiding in the file library here or some even at trainsim.com.

The USRA boxcars won't return. There is now the all new and much improved model that ships with the Cascadian, for which I may eventually do some more repaints but the old and really very outdated models won't come back. I'll think of something for the Budd RDCs, these will return in some shape or form (I'm still pondering over a possible 3D/texture update for them).

Am I forgetting any cars that used to be available on my website or at Trains & Drivers that you would like to see come back to life? Please let me know.

Cheers
Michael

I can't wait for the Budd RDCs since the T&D website never worked for me. !*YAAA*!

Also, whatever happened to the Tatra T3. Have you ceased work on it or is it just sidelined? I have it in it's Alpha form.

Ah, and here I was hoping nobody would ever ask me that. !*hp*! The answer is probably a mix of both, that model has been sidelined and now it's near death. The main culprit is that I absolutely hate modeling cabviews, which is the single biggest missing thing on that model of course.
