This model is a fictional Utah Belt Railroad reskin of the Maine Maritime EMD GP40. I often run Utah Belt scenarios on the Castle Rock route.

The Utah Belt is a model railroad layout created by Eric Brooman. It is set in northern New Mexico. Intermodal, unit coal trains and manifests pulled by modern EMD power keep the rails polished on this intermountain bridge route. The Utah Belt has been featured in many issues of both Model Railroader and Railroad Model Craftsman.

Run the RW_AssetSetup file to install the model In the scenario editor the model is listed as: “Utah Belt GP40”. This model is installed into: Assets\G-TraX\MaineMaritime\RailVehicles\Diesel\GP40\UBelt\.

This package is released as freeware. You can do whatever you wish with it EXCEPT make money with its use.

Just found this post after I commented on your work on the GP38-2.

Once again excellent work on the locomotive. I like the yellow ditch-lights on the front pilot.

Also a salute to using models that are easily accessible to all members. I have a few repaints on rolling stock and some locomotives that use these same in-game or freeware models that I have been sitting on and need to release.

Due to a medical condition my eyes become out of focus when I concentrate my vision on one spot for a short period of time. So my re-painting days are coming to a close so I need to share what I have done as they may be of some use to someone.
