ATSF, BN, GN Rear Cupola Cabooses

Hi,

A couple more freeware re-releases of older, previously defunct add-ons are now available for download:

ATSF Rebuilt Ce-1 Class Cabooses

GN (BN) Class X200 Cabooses

Like numerous others, these two were previously available at Trains & Drivers but have not been available for quite some time. Now they are back as freeware.

The GN caboose pack also got a small update and now includes two cars each in GN's late Big Sky Blue livery and in BN green. I assume due to their age these cars saw mainly yard and transfer service in their final years on the BN.

Do we need to get rid of the old ones before we install these?

That's a good point -- I don't know for sure what the right answer is. The old files might have been packaged as protected .rwps, so if you used the Utilities package manager to install the old version maybe it's better to first uninstall that one.

However, if you're "installing" with 7zip or the like, just overwrite the old files and you're done. The only changes I made are a minor bug fix in the audio files and the addition of the two new GN/BN cabooses, the rest is still identical the previous version just repackaged as an unprotected .rwp.

Cheers!

Thanks.

These caboose look nice and are a welcome add-on for routes set in the previous century.

FYI At least on my computer the old versions are in the GNWagonPack01. So if I have both assets checked off both the old and new ones show up the new ones listed as caboose****whatever and the old ones show up as GN***whatever. There appears to be no conflict as they both load OK so I guess it's our choice of what we want to do.

Yes, these two are the same models as in the X200 caboose pack but don't conflict (different "product" folders and screen names). The WagonPack on the Marketplace isn't what was available at Trains and Drivers though, that one was the same caboose pack (minus the blue and green cars) that is now on my website.

Cheers!
