Happy New Year!

After 3 weeks in the paintshop, we should have some Northern Pacific repaints for the DTM SD45 (Steam Store) in the next RWA library update. Rated at 3600 horsepower, these were the most powerful locomotives on the NP's diesel roster. Included are versions for both the SP and UP models, both with and without crew. Since some of you may only have one version or the other, and to avoid any confusion, I decided to split the pack specific to each model. Each pack includes 2 early versions with the "Radio Equipped" decal, and 2 later versions without the decal but with anti-glare panels and red stripe over the rear hood. There are also "non-driver" versions for each road number.

Special thanks to Buzz for helping with the upload process. I hope you will enjoy these repaints on your favorite routes.

All the best! ~ Rudi

Thank you friends, glad you like 'em !!howdy!!

Files are up! Thanks to Bob for getting them posted to the library !!*ok*!!

Just a note: The "UP" version's installation instructions say to copy-paste the Geo files for the "light gizmos" (OmniLightGizmo.GeoPcDx and SpotLightGizmo.GeoPcDx), but that only applies to the "SP" version which has the animated gyro light. So if you don't see them in your UP engine folder, don't worry about it. Sorry for any undue confusion; I packaged the "SP" version first, so apparently I overlooked this when I edited the read-me to suit the "UP" version.
That's the only drawback with painting stuff; sometimes you have to write "s'tructions" !DUH!

Speaking of that does anyone know how to get the big red eye to come on?

I corrected the text in the File Library, but not the readme.txt inside the download.

You need to put the reverser into forward, and put the brake into emergency, cause that was it's purpose, to warn crews that the train was in emergency and possibly derailed. As far as I know there is no other way to do this, unfortunately. Maybe you could by editing some file...

Chacal, thanks for the library edit !!*ok*!!

And while on the subject of lights; I've never been one to read the manuals, so it took some trial and error before I discovered how to work the gyro light on the SP model. If you go to cab-view (in the right-side seat) you'll see a control box for the gyro-light, located to your left. The box has a rotatable switch to activate the gyro-light. Going to external view, I discovered that the light would not activate until I moved the locomotive. Hope that helps my fellow non-readers *!!wink!!*
