Nice trolley and interurban.

Are these meant for the Sacramento Southern? Might as well get that route now it is still in the sale.

Howdy,

Thanks for the compliments!

The Key System cars and the National City Lines cars are accurate to their real world counterparts. This was because when the USA entered WWII at the end 1941, passenger traffic shot up on the Key System. So they bought the Sacramento Northern's cars as a stop gap. When the Key got bought by National City Lines in 1946 the cars were repainted into the "Fruit Salad" scheme and saw service until 1949 or so. The Key System made a few changes to the cars, such as adding built in marker lights, and a few other things. By and large they are the same cars.

As for the other repaints, they are pure fantasy. Done either because I liked the color scheme or they were requested by our fellow community members.

Thanks again, and have a nice day! *!greengrin!*

P.S. Buy the Gtrax Sacramento Northern, you won't regret it!

Jerry

The KEY System repaints look great, a nice addition to the Sacramento & Northern - thanks very much!

I don't see the National City repaints in the library - are they on the way? Not wishing to sound too greedy, but you DID tease us with the photo . . . :)

Sorry Jerry, I have now installed the Key System Interurban, and I think you have made a mistake in your installation instructions . . .

You say, copy the KEY folder into: Railworks/Assests/G-TraX/SNRySouth/RailVehicles/Electric/Interurban

But I think you mean: Railworks/Assets/G-TraX/SNRySouth/RailVehicles/Electric/Interurban/Default ("Default" missing from the original)

. . . without which, it won't show up.

Yes sir they are. I uploaded them all together and it's likely I screwed up somewhere. I'm attempting to figure out where I went wrong as I type this, sorry bout teasing you *!embar*!

You are right again! In the interim while I fix that, copy the 'KEY' folder here:

Railworks/Assets/G-TraX/SNRySouth/RailVehicles/Electric/Interurban/Default

Please tell me if you have any further issues, thanks

Sorry for all the teasing and confusion *!embar*!

EDITED April 3rd: So hopefully I fixed all the readme files, we will see what happens. Sorry again guys!
Big thanks to Bob Artim for his never ending patience! !*salute*!

Another one coming soon...

WaitingatNH.jpg

These steel interurbans were constructed for the New Haven Railroad in 1920-1921 by Osgood Bradley of Worcester, Massachusetts (most famous for being the location of my ancestral home and my alma mater). The cars were equipped with dual AC pantographs and DC third-rail shoes on both sides of each truck. Controls and electro-pneumatic air brakes were supplied by Westinghouse. The car interiors had a seating capacity of 84, with seats finished in imitation leather, as well as electric lights and heaters. The motors were numbered 4028 through 4055. The companion trailer cars were numbered 4216 throught 4251.

Price: $0 OBE.

Those NH EMU's will be great on the New York - New Haven route. Do you know how the mode change will be performed between Mt. Vernon East and Pelham on those cars?
