Heavyweight Passenger Cars, More Repaints

Unread postby GreatNortherner » Sun Feb 05, 2017 12:18 pm

Hi,

Following up on our recently updated GN Heavyweights, here's an all new set of repaints of the VNH coaches in New York Central colors. This freeware add-on comes ready to run and does not rely on any other dependencies.

Included are heavyweight baggage and coach cars in the following four liveries, lettered for the New York Central railroad and its subsidiary Boston & Albany:
- green with roman lettering
- green with block lettering
- two-tone grey
- inverted two-tone grey

You can download the cars on the VNHRR blog or on my website.

Thank you! Are these mapped differently from the original?

Thank you for the kind words. Now if only there was a NYC route somewhere, that little stretch of B&A trackage on the Springfield Line is a bit short. Does anybody know of a NYC route for RW, here or on the Workshop?

The mapping is the same on all the versions of the car to date. The NYC cars however use a slightly different approach for the railroad names above the windows, the decals are now seperate child objects whereas on the NH/GN/RWA cars they used to be integral parts of the main car's shape file before.

Cheers

Want more?

Here is more! A big set of Erie Lackawanna heavyweights has just rolled out of the Virtual New Haven shops. Get them while the paint is still fresh and shiny!

Included are baggage cars and coaches in the colors of the Erie, Delaware Lackawanna & Western, and Erie Lackawanna railroads.

You can download them here: http://golden-age-rails.com/packsrw/vnh_el.html
or here: http://vnhrr.blogspot.de/p/extra-downloads.html

Cheers
Michael

Great Minds think alike. On real ERIE track, oh man these units are sweeeeet.
For the record I have had Moxie, I drink it whenever I find a bottle in some out of the way general store. Its the "man's" soda pop!

Michael, I am proud to stop building for awhile to run these coaches. Thank you.
I hope to correspond with you again soon, I am desperate for EL rolling stock.
