Do check out the update or new additions to the Adriana County, now called ACR Adriana County...

A brief recap of the authors posting :
Moving to the present day, the Adriana County Railroad company has taken over operation of the former UP/BNSF line between Claiborne and Delray and reinstated a section of the former Cannon Rock Branch to Veonette to serve a new ethanol plant. A new bypass or 'link line' has been constructed at Marlane to allow through traffic between Claiborne and Henderson. Extra industrial sidings have also been added on the Harrison industrial spur. Additional signalling has also been fitted in some areas to aid AI operation in those locations.

... and YES, these extra new industrial zones or indivisual sidings are real gems and very detailed. It add quite a new dimension to a solid base. I had quite a few fun discoveries with a self-made free scenario (as I was missing quite a few locos and rolling stock to run the provided scenarios).

I did find two areas whereby textures were missing; I have not searched for names nor from which needed routes they are from. !!det!!

Nevertheles a big congratulations to the authors for their inventive and well consrtructed rail context - CHECK IT OUT !!*ok*!! - a must in your collection. *!!thnx!!*

There was an issue with the original Workshop Adriana County where a couple of building blocks referenced to Pacific Surfliner. If you have that route you may not notice it. The same buildings are used by PennCoal but RSC neglected to change the reference names. I wonder if that's what you're seeing. It's an easy fix and has been documented here by an alert user who I can't remember offhand. Basically it involves searching for surfliner in the appropriate route file and replacing with PennCoal.

Are you saying there's a NEW Adrianna County in the Workshop called "ACR Adriana County" because I looked and it's not there?

It's called, ACR Adriana County, and is in the file library here at Railworks America.

Just one odd thing I noticed in the install - The directory structure has it going Content/Route instead of Content/Routes

Easy enough to simply manually copy/move it, but worth a quick heads-up.

I can second that...

Unzip the file and open the ACR Route Pack folder and then the Content folder.
Now you will see another folder called "Route".
You can simply open the Route folder and drop the actual route file within to your Route folder within Railworks.
OR, you change the name of the Route folder to "Routes" and then drop the Contents folder into your Railworks folder.

Mark said he was considering a few extra touches to this route, and it's now in the RWA library, yippee, well done and thank you, and well spotted QcRail, thanks for the heads up. !*salute*!

Sorry about the incorrect folder name folks !!**sorry**!!
Hope you like the additions, it is aimed at those who use the route a lot and like to run the repaints etc which workshop won't allow. I didn't want to have two versions on the workshop as that would obviously confuse things and I wanted to support RWA.

Happy railroading!

Mark

It's much appreciated!!!

Now I have one thought to throw out there for ya that I mentioned to someone else...

The "north" link line is a HUGE help in making things more prototypical. Have you ever thought about having a "south" link line making a straight shot from Henderson to Delray?

The original idea was derived from a model railroad which interchanged from a small road to the big company which is why I built it the way I did. The new link I built in response to increased traffic demands to and from Henderson, mainly the ethanol traffic. I wanted to keep the original idea alive, the small amount of traffic set out from the ACR was collected by trains en-route to Delray. Besides it would be expensive for a second line to be added, the farmer/landowner near the grade crossing at Marlane owns the most expensive real estate in the county! *!greengrin!*
Also a lot of routes are A-B and the ACR was designed to accommodate that idea and the need to have to run around trains to go the other way or set out and change engines, aimed more at model railroading I suppose. The whole route, scaled down to reduce journey times is much like a model railroad in that respect.

Once I ran the Genset scenario (ACRMH1) the configuration of the ACR became much clearer to me. Give it a try if you haven't yet NStrains. But like you I sure like blasting from Henderson to Claiborne non-stop!

Thanks Mark and Tagsdm. I think I've got a pretty good idea how I'm going to run the route in my free roams now. Claiborne-Henderson being the primary flow of traffic with Delray-Marlane being a secondary flow. !!*ok*!!

Here's some shots from the ACRMH1 scenario. !*cheers*!

Nice ones, NStrains. Here's a few of a local at Marlane. The bypass is behind us in these views...

Very nice shots NStrains, they made me run that scenario again! Glad your enjoying the route :D
And what a great pairing Steve with the grubby GP. Unfortunately over here in the UK we can't get that model so unable to have your great looking repaint *!sad!*
The hoppers look superb.

You might be able to try and place the textures from the repaint into a copied default folder of the GP38-2 that came with the Chicago "Racetrack" route. You would obviously need to change the .bin file to read the new repaint, but it works that way. Also don't forget to delete the .dcsv numbers file.

Thank you for your wonderful Adriana Country route by the way! Outstanding work!
