Marysville Industrial Railroad Alco S2

This model is a Marysville Industrial Railroad repaint of the Dogmouse Alco S2 switcher. I repainted it for switching operations on the Industrial Interactive route. It represents the first batch of diesels the MIRR purchased in 1949. As the last 1000 hp S2’s arrived, the remaining 0-8-0 and 0-6-0 steam switchers were retired. The switching crews immediately fell in love with these units and they gave many years of faithful service.
