Norfolk Southern Executive Train

Unread postby harryadkins » Sat Aug 01, 2015 2:47 pm

These models are Norfolk Southern repaints of the freeware G-TraX 4-Pack Lightweight Passenger Cars in the Executive Train paint scheme. The G-TraX pack is available in the Railworks America file library. I used a little “modeler’s license” in creating these models due to several limitations but I think they will be fun to operate. Now if someone would repaint a set of NS F-units, we can be in business (train).

Hope you enjoy,
Harry

What color scheme would you like Harry? Those cars look beautiful.

The current black and white version (ex-SRR) is what I had in mind. There are tons of pictures online and I can help with needed graphics. Those curved nose lines give me fits. Thanks for your help.

Took this picture 1/2 mile from my house, a few months ago (in Virginia). Note, the small type beneath the number on the A unit is F-9A. I held off doing this myself because of those pesky double lights at the bottom of the front end - could they be added as child objects? Also, all handrails are painted in matching gold

Just gonna throw my **!!2cents!!** in.

Dick's wonderful F3 Mega-pack as an F9 in it with the single headlight. This would probably be the best model to use for the NS F9's IMO. And adding ditch-lights through the use of child objects would be interesting, as well as bringing it closer to the real thing.

I'll try the textures on the FP9 tonight and see how they work. I have the UP E9 I think it is from Dick also. Maybe..........
