Donner Pass East Fixer Upper. August 2015 Edition (updated)

This is a Phase 1 release. It's finished between Emigrant Gap and Sparks Yard.
It's now in the file library as Donner Pass Scenery Upgrade.
I will continue this project in the future, but for now this will be my first release.

Make a backup of your Donner Pass folder first. (00000032-0000-0000-0000-000000000000)

If you have some of my Beta files installed, it might be a good idea to remove the old Mixmap, Networks, Scenery and Terrain Folders first from my first releases. (Not from the .ap file please, just the external ones that may be there if you installed one of my previous file packs into Donner's Route Folder)

This mod won't break scenarios, but it does include a Tracks.bin file to fix rough transitions in some curves, so if you have any track mods in your version of Donner Pass this will overwrite them.

If you have one of my previous upgrades this new one has a lot of changes like added desert outside the Reno city limits and improvements extend well past Norden.
Lots of scenery was touched up and added, even between Truckee, Reno and Summit.

Donner, Cajon Passes are needed and maybe Marias Pass. I realized early on, that I had mistakenly enabled Marias in the Route Editor.
That being said I used almost nothing that wasn't native to Donner.

Thanks to all my guinea pigs that helped test the original files!
This will also be updated periodically as I work towards Colfax next.
Eric.

Installed and did a free roam out of Sparks for a few minutes. Ran clean. I suspect I'm going to be trying to run a few things back and forth to try and get a feel for what you've done.

If it installed correctly (like I hope) wait till you get out of Sparks into the desert and Truckee river canyon. *!greengrin!*

Just had a quick run up to Truckee from Sparks. I love the work you have done. **!!bow!!** Are you planning on going further up the pass?

Yes, I'm planning on going to the summit, but I figured there was enough done now to give people with Donner Pass a Christmas present. *!greengrin!*
Thanks, Eric.

If anyone finds milk bottles let me know please.
I think I found most "milk bottles"

Since Donner is in a .ap file isn't that the back up for this install? Do you have to get the original out of the .ap before you can add this?

I'm fairly sure that you're correct. I backed up everything just in case, but it does look like you can simply copy over the mod and leave the ap file alone.

Thanks. I just got done with my periodic and not very organize cleaning up of extra who knows why extra files I hate to right away start gunking things up again.

You don't have to get the original out of the ap. folder.

I hadn't thought of the .ap being the backup. I had been working with the cloned route mostly and it was already unpacked during the cloning process.

I didn't expect these kinds of responses with my first large route project. *!embar*!
Thanks Buzz.
Thanks everyone.

I do plan to keep going. It's become an artistic outlet for me.
