But I thought bigger was always better *!greengrin!* *!greengrin!* I may end up resizing the overall building as I work out the space I'll need for walkways and equipment.

Drop me a line if ya going to continue and ya get stuck , I got lotsa stuff *!!wink!!*

True, I guess I'll just keep working on it. If you've got even more info/source material to help me put more detail into this model that would be wonderful! You've already given me plenty of source material for the equipment and I've been concentrating on that right now. I really need more interior shots of maintenance facilities though.

Those trailers look super nice, well done. These would look great filling the various trackside yards and industries along a route.

When I redo the batch to include 48'ers I'll add an SP and BN type to the collection.

General Update: My maintenance facility has turned into a guinea pig and I've been spending all my time reading up on the TS2012 engine capabilities, development docs, etc as well as brushing off my brain from not touching 3DS in nearly half a decade. I'll be releasing what I have soon so I can move onto the next project and also get back to my trailers. I promise I'm not ignoring you all!! *!greengrin!*

And many thanks to the positive feedback on the trailers **!!bow!!**

Don't forget JB Hunt, Trans-America, BNSF, Triplecrown, Conrail Mercury, etc.

JB Hunt is already in the collection. I'll see about adding the ones you've listed too.

Maintenance Facility Update

These shots show a WIP. There is no floor, drop pits, or shadow texture yet. I tested out some drop pit concepts but working the model size to fit over the edited landmass is weird. Hopefully I can figure out the best solution.

Testing the walkway spacing around the track. A couple of workers sit and chat on their break.

Exterior shot. The bays are large enough to accommodate a fully loaded container car.

WOAH, great work! Keep it up! I'm already looking forward to using that, looks very realistic.

Request!

Can you make those shop lights a child object? I would like to use them in some of the building I am making.

I'm not sure of the details on how to set something like that up. I suppose I can just rip out the light model for ya or something?

More updates....

Floor, drop pits, and shadow maps have been added. The only thing left to do is create a couple of LODs and release the model.... and maybe reduce the shadow mapping on the interior?? Looks a tad dark, but then again, if you add dynamic lights I bet it would look correct.

A basic overview of the interior.

A few men work on restoring an old E7 (correction, F7) *!greengrin!* . One man searches through the toolbox, good luck finding the right tool! lol

Now THAT'S a big... er... umm... yea, a view from the drop pit *!greengrin!*

Yup, just rip it out, make it its own IGS, and export.

BTW, that shop is simply awesome.
