I agree with your way of manually doing things Brandon, however, this is Dogmouse, he doesn't have any other locomotives, or, rolling stock in the folder for him in my Assets, only the Sawmill and Boomcar which are both scenery items, so, they wouldn't have any effect whatsoever on the S2 folder that you simply drop in there, my Dogmouse folder now has 2 folders inside which shouldn't conflict with each other. !*don-know!*

That yellow globula seems to be centered on (0,0,0), the origin of the model.
That usually means there is something wrong with the asset dependencies in the <ContainerComponent> section of the engine.bin file.
Normally, each child object's gizmo should be visible on the shape file at the correct (x,y,z).
I have just installed the DLC and checked it with RW_Tools, no defects!

I am not familiar with all the smoke, light, or sound emitter gizmos, what could that globula be? Perhaps this gizmo has the wrong dimensions in its GeoPcDx file, meaning it is bloated but still functional? In the <ContainerComponent> section the following child objects are defined at (0,0,0):
rs1_hourn-sound,
rs1_cab-sound,
rs1_eng-sound,
Cab-occlusion-blueprint1?

I checked the .bin file and the .GeoPcDx files...all paths to the textures are set correctly...all namded right. But engine still invincible.
I'm really sad, the sound is really nice, the cab also...but without seeing this engine in 3rd view... !*don-know!*
I tried everything I knew , now I do not know further. *!sad!*

Well, my locomotives show up, even though they all have that yellow globule, however, if you zoom out a distance, then the yellow circle disappears altogether.
My only observation is that the door opens inside, but, doesn't show as opened when you go outside, is that the way you've built it, Rich???
Anyway, loving the sound, the horn is brilliant (when you turn your speakers up), and I like the way the engine chugs down when you apply the brake, it's a fabulous model, well done and thank you to all concerned, it's wonderful.

I need to check the sound emitters manually, since the occlusion.bin has no gizmo, it must be one of these sound emitters that has this bloated gizmo.
Could it be Audio\Markers\[00]sound_emitter.GeoPcDx? RW_Tools cannot check these?

It would be nice if you figured out what this is however it doesn't seem to affect the operation at least for the hundreds that have this loaded successfully. Let us continue any further conversation of issues over on the Problems and Peculiarities thread.

You are right, Buzz. All problems with this DLC should belong in the other thread you mentioned. Dogmouse's S2 shows complete in my game, so I cannot help out with the couplers only issue other than theoritical speculation.

I've included a painter's template and a reference chart that I tried to make as intuitive as possible.

With the fix, I have the S2s working just fine, but I can't find the template. Is it in one of the folders?

Many Thanks,

It's in the file library where you downloaded the S2. There is a little drop down arrow that switches between the loco and the template.

Many thanks for sharing this superb model, freeware is getting thin on the ground and that is understandable given the countless hours a builder puts into such a creation as this, !!howdy!! hat's off to you Sir and thank you :D

Now has anybody done a Adriana County repaint? : *!lol!*

Just took this thing for a spin earlier today, and noticed this issue. I manually installed it, and the locomotive shape file is nonexistent; only the couplers are actually visible.

Is there a repaint guide or tutorial that discusses how to apply a repaint using a PSD template? Everything I've seen so far has been painting the DDS directly. I'd like to try to repaint this and learn, but haven't quite figured out a few steps.
