Just out of curiousity, is the AGR route the same as the section built between Mobile and Calvert by the Alabama, Tennessee and Northern (AT&N)?

A little history, it was built by the Alabama, Tennessee, and Northern Rwy. Frisco got it later. I recall the line as a little boy before it was abbreviated in Calvert. My father who worked for the Southern in the 1960's, a line that ran parallel with the AT&N into Mobile, was nothing like the Southern. Southern frequently had five or six engines hauling heavy freight, while the Frisco only saw light traffic, mainly pulp and wood. Never a busy line, which is why most of it was abandoned with the exception of the Mobile to Calvert Section. With heavy hitters in Mobile like L&N, Southern, IC, Frisco never really took off. However, it had a very unusual railbarge job to Pinto island in Mobile Bay, one of the last in its kind to serve chemical plants. By 1980, most of the Frisco line from Mobile to points northward into Mississippi was abandoned since there wasn't much traffic on it with the exception of saw mill plants. If you ever google earth it, you could see vestiges of it..

That's really interesting! Thanks for the background history. I know a little bit about the AT&N from when I was researching the Consolidation, but it's great to hear about it from someone with personal connections.

Is this great route available for download anywhere? I hope this route will revive my interest in Railworks. I lost most of my interest in Railworks after the "improvements" of Train Simulator 2014 created havoc with most of my third party routes.

Did you get them working? Most of the problems comes down to a few things.

This is not the thread for this, but no they do not work. Sometime Monday, I will write up my problems and what I have discovered on the TS2014 thread.

This route is very good.
I'm testing it as much as my limited free time allows.

I hate to be "that guy", but how's the progress on this? I have all these CSX and NS assets and nothing to do with them! !*don-know!*

Been running (testing) this fantastic route, along with other notable members, for a few months now. I think its sort of in the authors corner (georgian22) with what he wants to do.
Its massive and I have not found too many problems with it. It will need tons of assets though, and I only ran it in free roam and a few of my own scenarios. I worked down in Mobile years ago, and the likeness is increditable.

Can't wait for this to be available looks great !!*ok*!! Yes quite realistic scenery and much trackage, heard it was very large compared to other third party routes

Nice shots! I was a fan of both the M&M sub and Birmingham routes and this one looks like it'll blow both of those out of the water.

I haven't found serious issues with the route itself, apart from the staggering amount of 3rd-party assets it relies on.

I regularly send minor issues to georgian22, such as:
- need for route markers for creating scenarios;
- need for passenger platforms;
- problems with track markers (destination, siding, platform);
- need for route information page, quick drive information, etc.
