Re: the weight.

I was messing with the weights for 4 days straight. When I first saw the support inquiry, I check for myself and I was able to get it moving with the Searchlight-enhanced SD70ACes.

I will go back and mess with the weights again, but the loaded weight is definitely correct. I know it for a fact. **!!bang!!**

Yes I do, Buzz. I like things to run correctly and feel right. I call spades spades.

From Trurailsimulations. FB page
In response to issues with the coal gondolas...

These freight cars are not compatible with the consist editor. They will not show up.

Apparently, the weights are still messed up. Expect an update in a few weeks that fixes file structure, weights, and materials.

We know how frustrating it is to keep downloading updates, but we want to make it correct.

(PS) The stock works better with Searchlight Simulations products due to how the physics work. These cars have been tested on their locomotives.

Harping on known things are not helpful.

Perfection is the aim but if we had waited for perfection 10 years ago we wouldn’t be here now as the game would have folded. The best is always desirable but I would gladly take a nearly than none.

In my opinion they should be ideal for AI-traffic. Here is less better than more. Even with 64bit.

Just out of curosity... Are you ticking the loaded option in the editor? That will make the car WAY too heavy. We have separate loaded and unloaded variants for this very reason.

Using the loaded variant; not checked for loaded option....

I’m doing several types of testing on this, so, as soon as I have some results I’ll post it here.....
Thanks to those who have commented and assisted thus far.....

I have run about 8 different tests within now and the last time posting on this thread. I have concluded that cars are actually too light. I've increased the weight since then and it seems to pull realistically.

As Anthony said, the physics on the default locomotives are not correct at all. This makes the pulling our cars feel very off. I've also adapted the braking assembly from the PS-4750 hoppers and it seems to work relatively well compared to last time. I've also disabled the bulk cargo in the blueprint (even though that makes no difference, it doesn't hurt).

It's simply illogical to supply a lighter variant of the car just for default stock. I would suggest picking up the FanRailer packs and seeing how those work.

I do appreciate the concern.

Switched power to ES44AC’s.....SD70ACe need a bunch of work for player use....AI seems to run them moderately......
Thanks everyone!

I have made the WPSX compatible for QuickDrives.

In my opinion it is very unlogical, that there are the main parts of the wagon (bogies, couppler, main model) in another Provider/Product folder than the wagon-blueprint.
This is definitively not the standard.

To test my variation, you have to delete all *.bin in Kuju\RailsimulatorUS\RailVehicles\Freight\CoalHopper\WPSX\Wagon\ ,
the only files which remain are the files in Textures\ and the Model coal_hopper.GeoPcDx.

The blueprints there I have transfered to
TruRailSimulations\WPSXPack01\Wagon\ and adopted (mass and bulkmass is a suggestion by me, please correct to the right values),
the soundfile moved to
TruRailSimulations\WPSXPack01\Audio\

Like that you can use the wagon in Quickdrives. A testtrain is in TruRailSimulations\WPSXPack01\PreLoad\ using ES44DC of Marias Pass.
It shows up as "GE ES44DC BNSF 1x + Coal LD,MT TRS test 2x (MP)[TRS-WPSX]", category "GE ES44DC"

I would really recommend using this principle for all these wagons.

I never thought of moving the wagon blueprint to the TruRail folder. Excellent find kris120. I'll be sure to throw that into the next update if you don't mind. :D

I don't mind - no: you should do this with all your repaints of the Kuju-coalwagon ;-)
It would be a pity if we could not use them in QD.

All of them will be getting the same treatment.
