Great little route! I'm impressed with the scenery.

Has anyone else had problems with creating Standard scenerios for this route? Every time I try to create even a short path in the editor it tells me it can't find a path to the destination. I've never had this trouble with any route in the past.

Sometimes that happens when a track segment is not welded together. Can you drive that path in a freeraom? You can not tell unless you are in the editor though or you derail somewhere. Bumpers will also show up on the hud map, like it is the end of the track.

I have the same problem It gives me a path error message when I try to set a destination. When you open the editor to chose a starting location for the scenario,I think it gives the locations for the RWA lakeside route, but I could be mistaken.I've never encountered anything like this with other route scenario creation. It's a nice route, hope I don't have to give up on it.

I have driven the entire main line in free roam and have had no problems.

I tried to create some scenarios yesterday and I came up with the same problem. The track is all connected and works fine, so I'm not sure why this is happening. I also don't know why the RWA locations are coming up. Hopefully this can be fixed, I have some great ideas for scenarios. I am new to route building but I will try to see what I can do. Any ideas would be appreciated!

Several problems here. First you used the RWA Lakeside route's route template file and entire folder structure. That is why you have the LSW ad RWA starting locations. You should have created your own developer folder structure and then you would have created your own GOS markers for starting points. Second, I tried editing the free roam scenario you included and all looked OK until I went to the world editor and discovered many of your switches are not formed correctly and have a larger red rectangle above them. These are breaks in the track also and you can not weld them. It looks like you are trying to make the switches too tight and they are not forming, however some of them did, so it could also be a gradient or elevation problem.

Here are shots of what I mean. See the red rectangles and the frogs are not formed?

Okay, that should be easily fixed! I have reformed some of the switches that are having trouble, and so far so good. Unfortunately for some of the industrial trackage, this calls for some modifications of the spurs and sidings, but it shouldn't be too noticeable. Thanks for the pointers!

I assume its too late for template file/locations issue to be fixed? I'll have to learn how to create my own developer folder structure for next time.

I will try to create some test scenarios once the track rehab is complete and if that is successful, I'll package together v2 with any other corrections that may arise.

Thanks again!

It may be possible to make your provider/product asset folder. I would have to look at it a minute or two ;) I would think if folders were made and a few files copied over like terraintexture and the route template and then referencing them in the route properties file correctly if may just work. Then you can still use the RW&A stuff and have your own starting locations. A lot of new route makers leave this part out and have problems later on. You make your own asset structure even if you do not do much with it, then reference other assets with the object filter in the editor. That way your route's particulars, like starting points markers, and weather and quick drive stuff and the route's icon and other things can be controlled by you and not someone else's assets.

All the switches and frogs have been fixed. Some of the spurs and sidings had to be altered a bit. I created and ran a short scenario and it worked well, so with a few more changes and corrections v2 should be ready.

Scratch that. All the switches and track problems have been fixed, which called for some heavy altering of the route in some locations, and I did run a scenario that worked, but I tried again today with a different scenario and the problem just keeps happening. You can run a train to some locations in a scenario, just fine, but other locations in the route don't work at all. On top of this, sometimes even adding another step to a scenario that works, like dropping cars for instance, causes the "not connected to the destination" error to happen. I thought I had figured it out but a lot of this stuff is over my head so I might just have to make this route free-roam only. Its a shame because I had all kinds of ideas for seasonal scenarios and I would've loved to have seen what others might have dreamed up. I just can't understand why its saying its "not connected to the destination" when the track seemed completely fine! !*don-know!*
