I'm not sure why the missing file is not part of the assets.zip file? Even though his readme file does not mention anything about not being able to distribute his us-wood-ties-tracks.rar with my routes zip file, Adding it would have put me over the top so to speak for Hawks file library file limit. Also I'm not sure if Ed wants to open that can of worms?

After checking Otto's site, I believe the tracks that were part of his us-wood-ties-tracks.rar file are now part of his tracks-and-river-water-changers.rar file. The entire package can be downloaded from Otto's website at www.otto-wipfel.co.uk/rw-downloads or just the tracks can be downloaded from the above link.

Although I signaled a clone to test, it might be possible to run AI using siding markers and wait commands. Not sure this method would work for shunting work at mines and yards.

Hi James, The East end of the route is still a work in progress. I'm also trying to balance the scenery verses frame rates, but once I've finished the East end, I'm planning on going back through the route and adding a few more weeds and shrubs along the ROW.

Unfortunately, for those who enjoy a lot of AI traffic the Montour may not be the route for them. In essence the Montour was more of a back woods switching railroad that only had a few trains at a time on line. The nuts and bolts of the operation of the Montour was pretty much getting empties to the mine, green coal to the prep plant and processed coal to the interchanges. A typical day on the Montour would have been, grab 70 empties from the main yard, head to one of the mines, drop the empties in the empty yard, pickup 44 loads and head to the prep plant. If you still had time, the dispatcher may have you take processed coal to one of the interchanges or may have you take more empties to another mine. The only deviation from this routine was on the East end. Montour #10 at Library had it's own prep plant, so loads from Library when straight to the interchange, which usually was the Union Railroad at West Mifflin, but not always.

Rich S.

Like rich said the Montour was governed by train orders and no signals so no AI traffic, however what really makes this route/ railroad interesting is they moved heavy tonage with switchers across some nice scenary of South Western Pa. The Mighty M was pretty close to the City of Pittsburgh roughly 15 to 20 miles however out in the country it was nice. I almost have the first standard scenario ready to package and in the scenario the uses 3 SW1500's pulling heavy tonage up and down grades just like the P&LE/Montour did, 3220 tons worth of unprocesed coal.

Actually, that 200 MB limit only applies to the upload page.
If a file is over 200 MB, I have instructions on how to use FTP to upload. *!!wink!!*

200 MB is the limit set in the php.ini file on the server and applies only to http uploading.
FTP does not have that limitation.

Hi Ed,
I saw the info on contacting you if we need to use the FTP service (on a side note I have WS_FTP Home) but was not sure how you would feel about me including the above named individual's rar file in my routes zip file? If that is not going to be an issue, I will include it with the next beta version of the route?

Thanks Glenn for the compliments on the route.

Everyone running the route, I'd like to see your favorite Montour screen shot in the screen shot forum. Show me what areas you like best in the route. I only have one request, please don't post the screen shots in the "Any Route, Any Era" posts, they tend to get lost in the shuffle *!lol!*
