All the audio folders are empty!

Unread postby 5292nate » Sat Oct 05, 2013 10:36 am

Guys. I have an issue. I am trying to change some horn sounds, and have discovered that the audio files are all empty! !*not-ok*! I can not edit the PROXYML files that aren't even there. What do I do?! Could this have anything to do with the new Win 8 laptop I have? This is VERY frustrating!

Thanks.

Nathan

Is the a .ap file there somewhere? If there is you need to unzip it with 7zip and then all stuff will be there for manipulation. See thread in 2014 about .ap theory.

Does that mean you have no sound in game?

Nate, I wonder if Win 8 hides some files by default like Win 7 and earlier always did. Get to Folder Options and check "show all hidden files and folders" or whatever Win 8 says now. You have to be seeing the .ap files. Maybe do a verify?

That's why I asked my question. If he has sound the files are there somewhere, the files are just hidden.
