Draft gear with a mind of its own?

I have tried searching as I believe this was discussed before, but I am thinking I am using the wrong terms...

Whenever I take a set, I slow down. I release, my train rockets forward, often exceeding the speed I took the set at. Thus causing my train to become a perpetual motion device. Is there a fix?

It seem to be another flaw in the core program as the speed of the train is recorded in the last car or engine of that train. You will need to slow down perhaps 5-10 mph less than posted.
This way when you release the brakes, you won't pass the posted speed limit if your train should "rocket."

Indeed the speed in the F3 and F4 huds are that of the last car.
To see the speed of your engine, look at the speedo in the cab, or use the F5 hud.

It's problems with the code in some couplers and brake .bin files.
The biggest culprits for me are the "Default" aka Cajon Pass Couplers.
The SP SD45 freight coupler bin settings.
The SP SD45 freight car brake .bin settings are all over the place.
The SD45 coupler and brakes seem to be fine. It's the Freight cars that come with it.

I had actually posted the fixes at one time for the SP SD45 but no one was interested.
