[PROBLEM] TS 2014 Google Maps

Unread postby Noel » Thu Sep 26, 2013 7:12 pm

Hey everyone.

I am having a problem with the Google Earth in TS 2014.

It's difficult to explain. I cannot get Google Earth to display where I am.

For example, I am going to do the NS Piedmont Division. I am trying to set the location to start at the Amtrak Station in Greensboro, NC. When I create the route, I choose Horseshoe Curve as a template, and I put in the co-ordinates of the station in Greensboro.

When I load into the editor, I land at an airfield in Pennsylvania.

I do not know what I am doing wrong.

1. I have gotten my Google Maps API key and put it in the Google Earth section of settings.
2. I have entered the co-ordinates of the station.
3. I have also tried selecting different templates, with similar results.

Please help, I am eager to start on this project, yet I can't even get to the location to start at. *!sad!*

Noel.

Your Lat/Long for the route are probably wrong.

I have them entered in right.

36.06929,-79.787845

36.06929 in the lat.
-79.787845 in the long.

Odd. I havent had this one yet, and I've created a couple route templates. Say, did you create the template from scratch or not?

I used the Horseshoe Curve Template. Does that make a problem relevant?

Yes - that means your lat/lon is off. You'll need to see about changing the lat/lon in the RouteProperties.xml to that of Greensboro, NC.
Cheers!
