does anyone else get slow download speeds from the file library here? I'm getting 15Kbps to about 25Kbps. My connection speed is 5Mbps down/ 756Kbps up. Not the fastest but reasonable for what I pay.

Now, this is not in anyway meant as a complaint. I'm just curious. I realize the strain on the RWA server when there are a lot of folks downloading at the same time. And I do want to say a big thanks for having the file library at all. As everyone has been saying, this is a really great website and community here. Thanks, Chris.

I have Comcast cable and get 285 to 440 Mbps depending on the time of day. If I come home from work at 4 pm and try to do things to the web site or forum I will be doing some waiting. At work this lag starts around noon cause it bogs a lot of times while I am eating and reading. Last week I was on vacation and was up til 2 and 3 am, the site was like lightning! So it does vary through out the day, but I never get kbps downloads.

Thanks Bob, I kinda figured it may just be time of day, traffic, etc. I'm usually on in the afternoon. Could also be proximity to the server. AT&T has been giving me fits as well. I'll try downloading early AM as I'm sometimes up at 2am.

I always get good download speeds from the site but I guess when I download things its still afternoon or morning over in America.
