AT&N Consolidation's Whistle??

Unread postby OldProf » Wed Jul 24, 2013 4:42 pm

Once I get the AT&N Consolidation ready to run in its Advanced Training scenario, I'm instructed to "give 2 blasts on the whistle before moving off", which can be done, supposedly, by pressing <spacebar> <shift + spacebar> twice or by pulling and releasing the whistle cord twice. I've tried both methods, but the whistle doesn't whistle: there's no sound. If I'm in an outside view, I can see a thin smoke trail coming from one of the engine's domes, but can't hear a thing. What am I doing wrong?

It's a bug in RW, which happens more often with the Consolidation because it pushes the limits of RW - it's the same thing that sometimes causes other sounds to vanish or assets to disappear, and it usually happens after going straight from the editor into a scenario. Try exiting the game completely (you should be able to do a save first so that you can resume where you left off, but unfortunately, save and resume are a bit buggy too) and restarting - that should bring back the whistle.
