Couple of odd things happening. . .

Unread postby kcs_fan » Wed Jul 17, 2013 11:25 am

I am having a couple of odd things happening. One is with NERW Aaron's Gravel. Well, I went back, uninstalled and re-installed NERW completely, and checked the developer folder and indeed there were some boxes not selected. Re-started everything and still no engines. (See picture below.) This one has me baffled.

Something else I noticed in my RW Utilities is that under the Tools and Documents Tab, I do not have a "Clear Cache" button. Any suggestions much appreciated. Thanks!

Is that supposed to be a GP38?

Make sure you have copied the .geopcdx file in the repaint folder.
Without that shape file, the engine is invisible.

If that is the NERW GP38 by Justin Cornell, no copying is needed. However last night I was making a scenerio with it and the new wooden reefers by Michael and I kept getting an sbhh in the editor. Not sure if the reefers or the GP38 is the culprit.

The Clear Cache is now in the game itself under the tools menu.

Yes it is, Bob. It is driveable, you can run the whole route, load and unload, switching, etc. The locomotives just don't show up. !**conf**!

I experimented last night, my GP38 works fine, it is the reefer car causing the crash.

Did you install the black NERW GP38s? If I am not mistaken you are told that in the blue ones readme. If so then I have no idea what could be wrong on your end.

How are the black GP 38s listed in the File Library. I think I have downloaded and installed everything that had NERW in the title of the file. I still believe I have something installed in the wrong place, done something totally stupid, or I have missed some key element somewhere along the way. All the help and suggestions are much appreciated!

Thanks again!

Doing a search on NERW brings up a lot of stuff.

I told y'all I'd mess something up. It is NOT the GP 38, it's the GP 9 that is not showing up in Aaron's Gravel. I downloaded the NERW engine pack, installed, selected and sure enough, EVERYTHING shows up except for the GP 9. Like I said, I either Gomer it or Goober it--either way, it ends up a Pyle! ! !
