Scenario Results Missing.

Does anyone know how to recover the Green Check marks and Red X's for scenarios that were played?

Somehow my entire list of scenarios has been reset to "unplayed". I have played hundred of scenarios with 99% getting the green check mark and 1% getting the Red X. Today when I went to play RW the entire list has been cleared.
I've tried clearing the cache and that has not fixed the problem. Does anyone know where the information is stored?

Thanks in advance.

This happened to me some time ago, I only just noticed. I had more than 250 scenarios completed successfully.
I am miserable now.

The information is in the file railworks\Content\SDBCache.bin.
It is an XML file that you can edit. I have a backup from last April, I'm considering whether I should manually change 253 occurences of "Not completed" to "Completed successfully", or write a program to do it.

How can this happen? It is not file corruption; a character string has been changed 253 times in an XML document.

Why write a program? Just do a search and replace.

That would be easy if I had completed ALL of the scenarios.
I finally ended up doing the manual replace, but with the help of some tools it took less than an hour.
Amazingly, it seems I got it right, without a single typo.

Honestly, if I hadn't suceeded I probably would have dropped the game entirely. I'm no Sisyphus.
From now on, I'll make a backup of this file every night.

Thanks. I edited the file to add back scenarios I completed, but it seems every so often the tick marks disappear again. I haven't done a "clear cache" or a "clear completed career" function. It seems that anytime I go into the scenario editor I lose my tick marks. I have over 3000 hours of playing and I can't even begin to remember which scenarios I've completed. RW gets so frustrating sometimes!! !*hp*!

Problem with this bug is it's not catastrophic.
You may notice it a long time after it's happened.
That makes it difficult to notify RSC support about it.

All mine have disappeared too, a few months ago.

This happened to me again. It seemes to have happened around the time of the TS 2014 release.
This time I made a script to write back the information from my backups.
I am quite pleased with it and will put together a quick tutorial.

This restored 218 scenarios, but every time I start the game, it puts back all Cajon Pass scenarios as not completed. In LogMate, I see that it does that because the scenarios are "out of date" (or outdated, can't remember), whatever that means.

Has this happened to anyone else, to lose all green tick marks for Cajon Pass scenarios?

Looking forward to the tutorial. I was never able to recover most of mine. I've run into the problem of completing some scenarios and the seeing some of them go back to unchecked. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to how, when or which ones get reset. Very annoying.

Do you have backups?

Would maintaining a (horrors!) paper record just be too much of a bother? This looks like much ado about nothing to me. Now, my real anxiety is that if I delete a 3rd party route in preparation for installing its new version, after the new installation the tick-marks of scenarios I've completed under the older version have returned? Whatever shall I do?

There is a button to clear all your records.

Use paper records.

@Samwolf, then you should be able to use the script to restore what is in your backups.
