Enable Steam Community In Game

Unread postby kcs_fan » Wed Jun 19, 2013 5:37 pm

I am sure someone somewhere has asked about this but I can't locate any information. I can't get anything out of the Workshop. Every time I try to do this it gives me the error message to "Enable Steam Community In-Game" I have done it at least 20 times, starting, re-starting etc. It shows the box to be clicked, there is a checkmark there. Still no go. I haven't been active since last July and I'd really like to get back into the game.

I'm having the same exact problem here. The "Enable Steam Community In-Game" box is checked in my Steam in-game settings tab. When I click the "Get Scenarios" button in-game a message window pops up with the message "Steam Community Overlay is disabled. In your Steam settings, please enable Steam Community in-game." **!!bang!!**

The shift-tab command doesn't seem to work either. !*hp*!

Any other ideas? !!det!!

BTW, I can get the scenarios by bringing up the Steam Workshop page manually by clicking the Steam icon in the notification area and drilling down through the menus to the TS2013 Workshop page. It would be nice to have the overlay in-game feature working though to avoid the extra steps.

Is this the way you are set up? Open Steam. click on it. One of your choices is settings. There is a in game tab. Click on it. check Enable Steam Community In-Game. Then your shift tab should work.

I FIXED IT! ! ! Thanks to all for your responses. I found ANOTHER "Enable Steam Community" button in the Properties tab that had not been selected. When I selected it and the other one, IT WORKED! ! ! !*YAAA*!

YES!

As ksc_fan said:
It has to be enabled in the global Steam settings and in the Railworks game settings (right click on TS2013 in your Steam library).

Thanks to everyone that helped track down this issue. *!!thnx!!*
