Changing Class 08 wagon sounds

Unread postby CASO » Wed May 15, 2013 7:46 pm

I want to apply Krellnut's v2 wagon sounds to the wagons that come along with the recent Class 08 pack, but I notice the bin files aren't pointed to a .xml file. How would I edit the bin files to get the sounds working? Thanks in advance.

Look at the bin file for kuju wagons and put the same provider and so forth in the the xml, save to bin and the sounds should work.

I looked at the wagons bin files and there is no wagon sound entry at all to enter the provider etc.

Take my Wagon freight Sound bin and paste to desktop. Look in the folder for the cars in question, and rename my bin the same as the one in that folder, and drag it into the folder. If it asks for overwrite, you got it right. If there is than one Sound bin, do the same thing renaming my bin. It really is that easy.

Unfortunately that didn't work, this is going to be one of those tough nuts to crack I think. There are two wagon folders, one being called wagons. Only one as a sound .bin file. I did make sure that I cleared the cache and that the sound pack was activated in the asset list.

Take a picture of the open wagon audio folder and attach it here so I can see the contents. This will be fixed in no time.

There were two wagon folders as shown here.

Drop these into that folder and overwrite. There's no way this won't work. Just make sure WJ Sound is checked in the object set filter for the route and scenario your using.

Unfortunately that didn't work, I wonder if the issue is that non of the wagons bin files don't have a wagon sound entry that is similar to this.

If those wagons don't have that section you posted, that is it. It needs that child to make the sounds work. Use the section from a RailSimulatorUS car. If you don't know how to do it attach the bin files for those cars here, and I'll fix it up for you.

Thanks, It seems that the guys at rs.com forget to put that child entry in sometimes.

Make sure RailSimulatorUS is checked off for the route and scenario your using.
