I installed the
Moscow Camden & San Augustine 1920 route, the basic SW1200 and the extra packs for it using the Package manager but when
I start TS2013 neither show up. Need I do something extra? Sorry for the probably stupid question but once I learn I will become less a nuisance

Hi, John. If you're looking for the route in the "Collection" screen, third-party routes do not show up there. You need to go to the Main Menu, select "Single Player", then choose the scenrio type, either Standard, Career, or Free Roam. That should solve your issue. Routes can be made to appear in the Collection screen but it's more effort than many route creators wish to put into their routes. Some do, most don't.

Please let me know if this gives you what you need.

Best,
Marc !*cheers*!

Go into the utilities packaging manager and hit the refresh button. See if they show up there. Let us know and we'll go from there. What he said also.

Good advice on the Route, but the route doesnt work then I think because the Locomotive doesnt show up I installed the SW1200 Basic package and bought the extra packs too , although I do not think I needed them, but the Locomotive does not show up anywhere. When I do the Single player etc the Route says it is free roam with a Black EMD F7, which I do not have. Do I need to buy or add the Black F7 to get it to work? I have the SF Warbonnet F7 with the Cajon Pass Addon from RWC.

I am not quite understanding. Did you load that route?

I loaded the route using the Package manager, I gan start the game and go to Main Menu and the Single Player then the options from there, I can see the route there, but the route doesnt load, I do notice that the program says that Black EMD F7 is the Motive power, In the route description it states that the SW1200 is needed so I had also installed it but it does not show up in the program
That is why I am wondering of the problem is with the SW1200 or have I overlooked something?

Hi, John. If you just recently bought TS2013, it doesn't come with very much rolling stock. Previous versions came with a WHOLE LOT MORE rolling stock. The MC&SA 1920's route looks like it relies on some of that previously-default stock. You should invest in two D/L packages, the US Community Asset Pack and the European Community Asset Pack. They're only $6.99 each and will give you all the stock that USED TO be included with RW and TS2012. This may give you what you're missing for this very nice route (I have it and it's a lot of fun.)

Hope this helps.

Since I have the Cajon Pass route ( bought yesterday ) the US asset pack is already installed and I got the Great Western Mainline route when I bought the program so the European asset pack is also already installed.
I for some reason think my problem lies with the SW1200, is it no longer compatible with the newer TrainSimulator 2013?

It is compatible.
What do you mean by "the route doesn't load"?
Do you get an error message? Does the program crash?

If you are missing assets, you should get an error message telling you about it.

One time it actually went to the Route but no ability to run an engine, ever after the program locks up and I have to do the three finger salute to get out Ctrl Alt Del
Plus as I said, the engine isn't there, I uninstalled through the Package Manager and then reinstalled, that did not help, So it looks like the route is there but TS doesnt recognize the SW1200 ( at least that is what it looks like to me) .

Uninstalled all of it and reinstalled again , got the route to load but the Locomotive is an SD unit not the SW and the free roam is a night scene, very hard to see. Progress is being made.. At Last

Is Cajon Pass working?
This should keep you busy for some time.

Cajon Pass works fine, I am getting used to controlling things at the moment, figuring out how to stop when I want to etc. Once I have a hang of that I plan on doing the Scenarios. Still odd that the SW1200 does not show up

With TS2013, RSC introduced an entirely new interface. It is much more functional than the old one, with things like the collection and quick drive, but assets need to be modified in order to show up in the interface. Third-party content providers will evbentually get around to updating their assets.

Fortunately this doesn't prevent you from using them. So if you have installed the SW1200 correctly, and it is used in a scenario, loading that scenario will load the SW1200.

I uninstalled and then reinstalled Train Simulator and all works now. Jeeze, who would have thought
