I keep getting a BDE not installed message when I try to use this tool. Any experts want to tackle this one?

The BDE Information Utility (BDEInfoSetup.EXE) needs to be installed alongside Microdem. As well, Microdem must be installed into it's default path, else you'll get errors no matter what you try. I commend the authors for keeping the tool alive all these years, but honestly the basic coding of the program (16-bit!), as well as the installer, would be better handled by a stoned monkey.

Are you sure its 16 bit? I thought as of Vista MS removed the 16 bit WoW.

I may have jumped the gun on that one, but was certain it was still 16-bit coding from days of Win95/98 (the icons led me to believe things hadn't changed and that they were still using Borland legacy runtimes). Nevertheless, I stand by my comments that the programming on the whole is a mess and needs a complete overhaul.

Borland has a 32bit C++ compiler (I was a huge fan of Borland back in the day). Icons are Icons most developers like to reuse (much to our regret).

Anyway... back to the topic I guess.

I think I have it working now. Waiting for my USGS D/L. I guess they don't work on Sunday. !*roll-laugh*!
