High pitch noise

Unread postby calcajun » Fri Apr 05, 2013 9:43 am

I upgraded my video card to a AMD HD7850 and my power supply to a 750W. Now when I load the game I get a high pitch noise when I view the collection page. The noise is not there when I play. I have deleted the whole nine yards twice and reloaded it. (16 hours of wasted time). I am using win7. Thanks for any help I can get with this problem. !*hp*!

Hmm, where is it coming from? From your video card? Might be one of the fans that is throwing into high gear.

power supplies can make high pitch noises, even stuttering chirps.

My computer does this through my headphones. I don't actually hear a noise coming from the physical computer itself though. It's annoying, but I just deal with it for the first few seconds then go play.
