I contacted rsc about where is the coal water refill Donner Pass. Got a respond but not the right answer I needed. Does anyone found any information where I can find out where sp cab foward refilled?

I guess that helped. Thats where they refuel oil and coal. There's also one from Norden as well but I guess thats for train coming from Roseville. I found out when you go from Roseville to Truckee you have a steeper grade than coming from Sparks to Truckee. I think Truckee is a good place to replenish and change crew. Thanks.

Wouldn't Colfax be another logical place to take on water?

Sparks, Truckee, Norden, Colfax and Roseville.

Are the Water and Fuel station stops located on the route map? You have to be really strategic with your planned stops, correct? Or you will run out of steam on the stiff grade over the Pass.

Someone, please share the Rewater and Refuel Keyboard Commands for us Newbie Steam Drivers.

The fuel and water transfer stations are indicated on the map. The keyboard command for loading fuel and water is the same as loading passenger and freight cars (T).

Yes you need to plan your stops. With the SP Daylight, I had 18K gallons of water from Sparks. I used up 8K during the climb to Truckee. I had 10K left, refuel in Nordan. Bad idea to back up. Plan your water and fire carefully.
