Leaning Rolling Stock

Hi Fella's
I have just made a 50 car coal loaded coal train and heading for Cheyenne. I'm going along dead straight track and some of the hoppers are leaning to the left and right while the rest are perfectly upright. Any reason for why this is happening?

I had that happen on Sherman Hill also recently. That's the only time I can remember seeing that.

If the lean in question is a slight one, I've seen all kinds of freight cars display it, but most notably those belonging to the set of steel industry cars available separately for the Ohio Steel route. Want to try for a leaping locomotive? I've seen that one, too. Reminds me of a bit of lyric from Disney's Dumbo: "But I be done seen 'bout ev'rything when I seed an elephant fly!" [Evviva political incorrectness!]

I've seen this problem too, specifically on Sherman Hill I think. In various workshop scenarios that I've run. I think actually that it's mainly been the woodchip cars that lean.
I'd like to know what's causing it too!

Probably those cars have a wrong
ease of derailment value.

Thanks for the comments. I have found that if I save the scenario, shut down the sim and then restart the save, the wagons are once again all upright(I'm using Sherman Hill Coal hoppers). Anyway, that's one quirk. Now, on the same scenario, I had an AI mixed freight with helpers start up at Granite. I'm coming into Granite and the AI is passing me and all is fine. What happened next is very bizarre. The last AI helper loco comes around the bend and the rear bogies are on my track and the front bogies on the AI track. I wasn't quick enough to record a screenie but I started the scenario again at the last save and the pass went flawlessly. Has anyone seen similar with passing AI?
Regards,
Rob

Rob, you are doing the best you can do, by doing a save then resuming. Ever had the "tornado" effect, where every car in your consist goes flying up in the air? Just because you used the dynamics?

I had it happen to me in a scenario on the NERW. And no, I didn't change the switch mid engine!
