Dynamic Braking

Unread postby imphantum » Fri Mar 08, 2013 7:38 am

Well I've noticed that dynamic braking is becoming a problem for me. I can easily use my dynamic brakes on any of the SH locos, but when I try to use the SD70ACe even when on 3% there's a massive amount of braking, and when I fix it my train normally derails. What am I doing wrong, and how can I fix this?

The DBs have been out whack for a long time. You have to find a sweet spot for each loco basically and then it still wont be perfect or close even. So you are not alone.

But the thing is the SH locos and some newer loco's dynamic brakes are fine. I'm trying to run an ACe down-grade on donner and it simply wont work. !*hp*!

Using the asset editor in RW-Tools, you can view and change the simulation values for a loco.
It would be easy to enter values from the SH engines into the DP engines.

Yeah, I was going to do this, but I was going to make a scenario for Donner with the SD70Ace, but I'm not sure how I could got it to work for other players too.

You would have to post or include the bin files you editted.

How many fixes/patches have been made/released for this already? Any for this model? !*don-know!* Is there one that we could recommend that we all use?
