Can anyone who has successfully used ReDEM, please tell me if you have ever experienced HUGE trenches in your terrain, where the ground suddenly drops back to sea level. I have found that there are no BIN files for the missing terrain areas. Can anyone who has encountered this before tell me how to fix this? I really need help with this.
Thanks guys!

Yes - and sometimes there's nothing you can do, except sculpt by hand.

Did you have this problem with Sherma Hill?

When RS was released, the SRTM data would cause a crash near Emkay siding, but then ReDem was released a few years ago which allowed me to do the whole route without issue. However, I've found several areas in California that have missing elevation regardless of the data used. Sometimes switching from 1/9 to 1/3 or SRTM1 or SRTM2 will fill the holes (north of Shasta), but sometimes not (east of Palmdale).

When creating your tiles are you using multiple source files? I know in mine I had to join the files using microdem and then the gaps disappeared.

No, but I do understand that Microdem will fill 0-voids, which I suppose is easier than sculpting from ground-0.

Is there anyone who could maybe fix it for me? I could zip-up the bil's and the markers...

Marc. Can I start laying track and roads and fix this later on, without having to start over?

Sure - provided the grades are correct, you should be a-OK.
