P42 horn end sound won't play

Having a problem with the P42DC horn end. No matter if it's the default sound, or a modification, the end does not play in the P42. I checked the PROXYML and it is set correctly, but still no end sound. Very frustrating. Has anybody else run into this problem?

Weird. And annoying. Who should I write? RSC? Or does g-trax still support the genesis?

Wrote to RSC this morning. I'm posting the letter here just for reference.

Dear RSC.

I am writing this short letter to notify you, and seek help regarding a couple
of problems I have encountered while using the DLC P42DC. First, the horn end
sound will not play. I have checked the PROXYML file, and found it to be
correct and the problem persists weather I use the default horn, or a modified
horn. (I have tried 2 from other people in the community and 2 that I made
myself) It is a frustrating issue and I would appreciate it if it was looked
into. The second problem I have, is that every time I save the scenario and
leave the game, when I come back, the train goes into emergency, and stops.
Another annoying problem. I do enjoy using the product, and it is an excellent
model!

- is the sound file itself correct? Mono and the correct frequency (can't remember which) ?
- does the engine blueprint correctly reference the audio blueprint?
- does the audio blueprint correctly reference the proxyxml file?
- what happens if you replace the horn end sound file with something else (like a bell sound)?

Some problems have been reported with the whistle (actually associated with the "horn" control variable) in my Consolidation, but my blueprints and sound files are all OK too. I wonder if there's a bug in the core software related with the "horn" control variable.
