I'm not having that problem as I'm able to double click inside the blue circle to bring up the asset list, but if I don't reduce the density before trying to select a object from the list I'll get a SBHH. For me what works is reducing the density to 10, then selecting the object I want from the drop down list, then setting the density to what looks good for the area. For some unknown reason my density is set to a 16 digit number that seems to overwhelm the editor.

Have you tried selecting a existing asset block, then press <ctrl> + <c> to copy the block, move to a new area and press <ctrl> + <p> to past the block, double click on the newly pasted block and trying to change it's properties?

This is an issue that affects some computers and some it doesn't and RSC should have fixed it a long time ago. Unless you have a pretty robust system, the default 10,000 assets will slow down or even crash Railworks when you select the asset block.

FYI, you can maje your own custom Asset Block blueprint in the Asset Editor so that you can have your own size
and number of assets each time. It can't however be made to pre-select a certain asset.

Yep ,what they ^^^ said. I got around it by going to an area with no scenery, creating the asset blocks I wanted, then copy and pasting them to where I wanted them. Sometimes I got an SBHH when pasting, but I kept trying and 90% of the time I got results.

Hi JM,
As mentioned above, you can edit the asset block bin file and change the default density value. The asset block bin file can be found in the following folder:

\Steam\SteamApps\common\railworks\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulatorCore\Editor

Using either RW_Tools or serz.exe open the Asset block.bin file, go to the <AssetBlockComponent> paragraph and change the Density value to 10 and save. Why use a value of 10? Originally I was using a value of 1000, but since the last update a value of 1000 now generates a garbage value in the density field and it seems any value over 50 generates these invalid values, so I've dropped my default value to 10. Hope this helps.

If you do edit the AB file with RW__Tools, don't forget to clone and rename it or you will lose it in the next Update. Also, I have made up a block for RCAP with a 500m x 500m, 1000 asset default to be included in a future version of the Package.
