I bought the SD-45 and was and was going to look at Re-skinning it, but their two files the Trucks and the Snow plow Rs-tools won't open to Covert to dds, and all the Freight cars that came with it won't open too. some kind of Compressed RGB format that won't open?

No one has posted any solution to the truck issue. I e-mail Ceaser about this and he never responded. Maybe he will answer you if you e mail hime. Thsi is a big deal and I wish we could get it resolved.

I am not sure I can agree with some of their thinking. We have been able to open 2048x2048 textures for awhile now.

I think I just found a discrepancy. I can't seem to find any pictures of SP SD45s where they had the gyra's _and_ speed lettering. It would appear that when they were refit with ditch lights they were also repainted with the new speed lettering.

A good place to mention here. Any texture file that is set by 2048x2048 can be downsized to 1024x1024 and put back into your rolling stock. It will never know the difference. You'll get better frame rates too. Open the new files with RW Tools and do your editing thingy with your paint program. When done with the files downsize them to 1024. Now at this point you can use RW tools to put it back into game. If you want to edit the same files again, use RSbin. This is what I did to make the RS11 skinable. Resized all the 2048 to 1024. It works. We have proof. Forgot to say to make sure to resize the alpha's too.
I looked at the original skin its the same missing bottom textures just shows black ends it a error in making the skin map I think! I can open files now I had to get the newest Rw-tools.
Maybe after all the planned SD45s are done, I can convince Mannu to develop some variants (including SP SD45Rs - SD45-2??). I know he and I have a few more things planned though, so don't expect it any time soon.
