Anybody else having this problem?

Unread postby 5292nate » Sat Feb 09, 2013 6:18 pm

I have been trying all day to download data from the USGS map viewer. I was able to get the data I need in 1/9 arcsec data. When I go into MICRODEM, to convert the FLT. files to BIL. format, the imagery that shows is very weird. Has anyone ever seen this before? Is it just an error with MICRODEM, or id the data I'm downloading corrupt/void?

Thanks.

Try out 1/3 arc. There are only small areas that are covered with 1/9 arc and that would explain your gaps in the DEM.

I already tried 1/3 arc. That's when I was getting the gaps after importing.

Use 1/3 arc data and fill the missing bits using 1/9.
Cheers!
