Anybody have a working brake pressure HUD readout?

Unread postby hefy_jefy » Wed Feb 06, 2013 12:20 am

Both the Challenger and Big Boy fail to show the brake pressure on the HUD. Does this work for anyone or is it just me?
Tried everything, all the way to completely uninstalling and re-installing the entire app. It used to work but it quit...
All other steam locos (inc Cab Forward) work just fine.

Same here... Big Boy and Challenger both IHH and RSC versions and all of the Britkits Steam locos no brake pressure readout on the F4 or F3 HUDs. Like you I've tried everything including a complete re-install with no improvement. I figured it must be my low end system.

Hmmm,
Not sure what a "Low end system" is defined as - mine is a Core2 Duo 3.33Ghz with 4.0 GB memory running Windows 7 64bit. Graphics is NVDIA GeForce 9600 GT. Anyone want to comment?

What changes, like new drivers for the video card, have you made to your system of late? Man, that 9600 is an old card. Rest of the specs seem fine, tho. Win 7 64 bit can take 8Gb RAM easily, and trust me, it doesn't hurt to have more RAM. I have not noticed a low or zero brake pressure reading with any of my loco's. Did you verify game files thru your Steam Library?

Fairly similar system... Intel Duo Core E5300 @2.6GHZ... 4Gb DDR2 Ram... Win 7 Pro 64bit... NVIDIA GeForce 9500GT w/1GB... TS2013 resides on 240 GB Corsair Force SATA 3 SSD.

As stated above I've tried all of the usual stuff including a clean install from scratch, to no avail... All of my other assets function perfectly so I'm not going to exert much more effort to chase this issue any further.

I have the same issue. My system is an AMD Quad-Core A6-3650 @2.6 GHz, 8 GB DDR3 Ram, NVIDIA GeForce GT 610 w/ 2GB DDR3 Ram and Win 7 64bit. The only change to my system is the addition of a new wireless network adapter.

Did anybody who has posted lose the HUD? I didn't lose mine but the brake pressure gauge quit working when they pushed the HUD fix.

Yep, its a bug. I wonder what are the chances of RSC fixing it - I have sent 3 emails now, each one gets the stock reply. Its annoying because it used to work, and when it did it made long downhill speed control much more realistic.
