Hi guys. New problem. RW loads for a few minutes and then just stops. I always have to end task. I am trying to load a scenario on the NERW. It always seems to stop on the same loading image. Any help?

I don't know. But I tried again and it finally loaded after about 15 minutes.

Now it's stuttering worse than I have EVER seen.

Sounds like you may be missing some rolling stock or assets maybe.

How do I know which ones?

Best thing I can suggest is to uninstall, then reinstall the Steam client. Before you do that, copy your "steamapps" folder to your desktop. Then uninstall, and reinstall Steam. I'm seeing this all over a lot of websites. Last Steam update messed things up. You should reinstall Steam every 6 months anyways. But that "steamapps" folder, that has all your games. Just paste that back into Steam, may want to verify files, but you don't have to download anything again.

Does Task Manager show any other programs running in the back ground? And what Processes does Task Manager show running? What is new you installed before this happened? Something is eating up your CPU cycles to have stuttering.

I'll try the re-install, but I have shut down just about everything I know I don't need running. I don't know that I recently installed anything. But I have noticed ads popping up everywhere all of a sudden. "This video has been banned by the media. Watch it now! Click here!" "Learn how to speak Swahelian RIGHT NOW!" Bull crap like that. I ran a superantispyware scan and it found 63 tracking cookies. After I made sure they were deleted, nothing changed.

You have a problem other than cookies. There is some kind of ad ware or mal ware in your machine. I hope Chris checks in here or maybe you could do a post over on geek speak and he can advise you what to do.

Could a registry key be the culprit? Besides RW stuttering, today the PC has been epic slow. I ran a short Malwarebytes scan and it picked up 1 registry key.
