LUA Scripting for Engine Temperature

Unread postby BNSFdude » Tue Jan 22, 2013 9:53 pm

Hi there, I'm currently working on a locomotive with clearly visible shutters, and I'm looking to script engine temperature, and a certain temp that would trigger an animation for the shutters to open. How do I go about doing this? I've got in contact with Oovee who has done this on their Class 57s, but I don't expect rapid response quite yet.

I would be interested in this as well. Originally I was going to have shutters on my Trainmaster open based on RPM, but if we could do it on temperature that seems more realistic.

If you've got the Class 57 you could reverse engineer it.

I don't have the class 57.

You can't, it's been compiled into .out.
EDIT: I found it in Oovee's original Class 57, but it is the 57/0s that have it temperature controlled I believe. I'll get a hold of Reppo, considering he's the one who coded it.

The recently released Centipede has it too.
