C36-7i Problem

Unread postby Antwerp » Sun Jan 20, 2013 4:50 pm

Is anyone else having this problem with the C36-7i? If so how do I fix it. (This only happens when I place them, If I go into the driver session they are fine.)

mdurdan wrote:Try a forced re install of these, if its an RWP simply run the RWP again, if its a folder path than drag it to the location and overwrite it and this SHOULD fix it. If not try it on a different route. I don't see any reason this should happen !*don-know!*

I tried all the different maps with no change. It is not an RWP file nor do I know how to make it one. It is one of those crappy assets that makes you use the
RW_AssetSetup things which I refuse to use because it always deletes things that are important to the game. !*hp*!

I avoid that installer as well. I use to take the files and drag/drop them on my Assets folder (as needed). Nowadays since I use Machinist's handy batch file I put the files in my storage folder and run the bat file.

It does no such thing. It never did.

It copies the files to the correct folders and deletes the blueprint cache files, which is the correct thing to do.
You can do all this manually but it is much easier with the installer.

You have to use it properly though:
1- Never run any executable from the zip file. You must first extract the files from the zip to a temporary folder, then run the exe from this folder. Windows lets you browse zip files as if they were folders, but this is just an interface trick.
2- If you have UAC enabled in WIndows, and your Railworks folder is under C:\Program Files (or C:\Program files (x386)), it is usually required to run the exe as administrator.
3- The installer asks you to confirm the path to your Railworks folder. Check this before you confirm.

This issue can be easily resolved. Just wait until I download it.

By the way, that joke was awful. *!lol!*
