Scenario:- 02 Switching Whirlpool, Part 1:

No matter what I do I cannot get the green check for this scenario. I know I am doing it correctly I even get the green check after each of the instructions but know in the scenario list. There I get the red x. I have went into the scenario editor and I cannot find anything wrong in it. I have checked to be sure I was not suppose to be going a certain speed and the go via's. I am absolutely stumped and it is probably staring me in the face what the issue is but I just do not see it. Has anybody been able to successfully complete this scenario? and if so what is the secret?

It may not help but just check where you are leaving your loco at the end, from memory, i think i had to chase a green tick off a save.. good Luck. Pete

After you marshall to Whirlpool 1 you take it back to the destination 67 marker where it ends automatically you do not stop anywhere and everything seems to work fine just in the end it is a red x. I am not sure what you mean by " i think i had to chase a green tick off a save.."

I just heard from Rich that he'll be providing an update soon that fixes several reported scenario problems. Have you informed him of this possible glitch or have you limited yourself to gassing about it here?

By the way, I had no problem getting a big green check-mark after this one. However, there is a real glitch in scenario 5 because two hoppers have the same number, which keeps the scenario, which involves marshalling instructions, from completing. Little lesson for scenario creators here: always check that little warning icon in the Timetable Editor before publishing a scenario. Duplicate car numbers are a common source of stoppers. !!howdy!! !!jabber!!

My thanks to Rich Garber for this, his best route to date!

I have not checked with him yet as I figured to ask here first to see if it was a common issue. But I will email him as well. And I always check that icon for the list of errors and I found last night that it does not always tell you about the duplicate numbers. I was working on a scenario for Donner Pass and it listed no duplicate numbers but it did list the infamous possible static clash error about a million times. It crowded the box so much I could not make heads of tails of it but There was no duplicate rail number message which is normally the very first line. I only new there was one because the instruction would not move to the next when it should have. The only way I found it and was able to fix it was using RW-Tools and checked scenarios and told it to list all vehicles with numbers. Then saved as an excel file and opened it and found the duplicates there. then went on the hunt in the scenario to fix it.

Thanks for the info about the upcoming update.
