About tracking errors

Unread postby 5292nate » Fri Dec 14, 2012 8:29 pm

I was reading over on UKtrainsim about SBHH errors, and it was hinted to, that you could track down what is causing the error. If so, how do I find the corrupt file? How do I figure out what is causing the error?

Thanks

Nathan

Unless something has changed with how the create their dump file you cannot get anything meaningful from it without Visual studio 2010 and the source code. I posted about the several months ago (here at RWA).

You can send RSC the dump file if you want, but expect a "canned response" What route is this happening on, and is is just one route? Or RW in general? Have you done a file verify thru Steam of the game?

It's on the NERW route, and yes. I did a verify thru steam.

What error are you getting? Did you have the older version of Railworks or are you new to Train Simulator 2013? If you are new to this sim then chances are you are missing the "old default" items the NERW route requires. The best way to pin point problems with a route is to check it with RW Tools. It will tell you if anything is missing from the route and also the trains you are trying to run on it. Lots of people are running the NERW route with no problems, but most of them are people who havehad Railworks for several years and have alll the old stuff.

I've had railworks for about 3 years. I will check it though! I hadn't thought of that.

Think I got it. Question is, what do I do about it? The list is attached. Open it with notepad.

Look in the readme that comes with the NERW route and download the 3D Trains track packages, road package and foilages and install them. Your missing all the 3D Trains stuff.
