SD70ACe Rio Grande and UP, as well as SD-40 CN Wide Nose do not download properly from the website of Steam, therefore it's impossible to get them working, since the website claims you have already bought them and therefore cannot download them again, unless you remove them from the hard drive ... where they actually never got in the first place. So ... how can you ever download this again? Never, I guess, unless you uninstall the entire game which I've done 3 times already and with that much content it takes a full day with DSL 2500 to re-download. If you download such a high amount of files, usually 2% doesn't make it, then you have to verify all files 10 times or more to eventually get all the files. Verifications take hours, every time.

I'm sick of spending all my free time (well, now I download before I go to work) with verifying and downloading stuff for this game. I love the game and I love every single DLC so far, butt if it doesn't even install and if there is no way of getting it, I am seriously thinking about asking for a refund for all the above mentioned DLC's. They have not been working for months. They obviously have been working when Railworks 2 and 3 were the most actual game. However, since Railworks 4 is out, the entire store is bugged and it appears to take ages before all the products are back up. I see around 50 objects in the store, and 3 of them are not working, so why not take them off and back on when they got overhauled?

And, dear Rail Simulator team, please add a "download this product again" button or something like that, so we can make it easier to re-download faulty products once they're working again. The verify usually doesn't catch new updates and just leaves it as it is. :(

PS: Funny enuff is that the SD70ACe Rio Grande and UP download pack has just been lowered in price by over 50% ... maybe temporarily, but if you can't get it physically ... I bet they know.

You don't have to do a complete re-install for anything you think is missing. All you have to do is go into the folder and delete (or rename) the item that you think is messed up. Then run the verify cache and see if it reloads the item. This has always worked for me. Additionally I suggest that when you have things working you make a backup of at least the asset folder so if something gets messed up you can just go there and get the item and put it back in your working copy.

Buzzy, the problem is that the folder isn't there. That's why I can't rename or delete it. There should be a folder for the SD70ACe pack, butt there isn't. There's three folders for other SD70's, butt those are different DLC's.

I deleted all local content, re-installed for the WideNoses and they still didn't show in the game.

They are in the files.

@Harold.

Are they activated in the asset window over on the right? And are the geoPcDx files in the engine folder?

There is no folder for SD70ACe. One of them is in pack1 and I think the other is in pack2. Pack one has CSX, the UP/DRG and default which is the regular UP. BNSF is in pack2.

I'm glad to hear that. Now all we gotta do is get these other folks going. How long have you had it? Any idea?

Then it's no miracle you got it to work, because in February RW4 wasn't out yet and all the old content worked normally in the store. The problem is for all RW4 users who downloaded the DLC's AFTER the major update.
