When I load the Free Roam scenario in the Cajon Pass route, this appears. When I loa the two scenarios (one career, one normal), I can't get them to work either. The "sumfin bad happened" comes up all the time. Any help? :) Thankies in advancies. Greetings from Switzerland, Janine. :)

Do you have the SD70ACe looks like you do not have that locomotive.Meaning you need to purchase it from Steam.

I purrchased everything from Steam so far. I am positive I downloaded it. When I'm looking up the SD70ACe in my library and in the shop, it says I own the DLC and since I own it, I can't re-download that one.

PS: I couldn't load a scenario without having the engine. It would be greyed out with a trolley icon telling me to buy it. :)

Try Clearing the Blueprint Cache...

Main Menu... Game Settings...Tools... Clear cache.

That should do it.

Have you also verified the game files? Right click on TS2013 in your Steam Libraries list, choose Properties, local files tab, verify.

I verify the game files on a bi-daily basis twice, just because of exactly those "sumfin bad happened" issues all the time. Alright, I'm gunna clear the cache in the game menu as well and then I hope it works. Just in case, if it wouldn't, what then? :)

PS: As I thought, the same screen as shown in the first post appears, also AFTER clearing the cache in-game (blueprint). What is wrong here? :( *shniff*

Have you submitted a support ticket to RSC?

How do you do that? Can you do it in-game or do you need to go to the RSC website? How many weeks / months does it take to respond to a support ticket? I play a Star Trek MMO and the support there usually takes a few weeks if not 2 months to reply to support tickets. That's why I'm asking and usually that's why I never write support tickets to game developers in the first place.

PS: I have decided to uninstall and cumpletely reinstall the entire file database for the second time this week. I had reinstalled the game before getting a huge bunch of addons (including the SD70ACe) I was interested in. I guess I should have done it AFTER downloading the addons. Well, if the problem still purrsists after the reinstall, I might cunsider filing a support ticket (still haven't seen a way to do so).

It sounds like you are having some problems not just with RW2013. The program is usually more stable than you are describing. Just one small suggestion is you try D/L a nice little utility called Game Booster. It's free and seems to help with both stability and speed to run RW. Have you checked to see if under assets/RSC that the SD70ACe is actually there?

Once you have reinstalled Railworks (I am presuming you already uninstalled it and now are reinstalling it) Copy the "steamapps" folder to another place on your PC. Now, uninstall Steam, then reinstall Steam. Paste that "steamapps" folder back in (it has all your Steam bought games) That may help with the SBHH crap.

Thankies to both of you. I did check the asset folder before even you suggested me to do, and the folder WAS infact there, just with a few files missing (such as cabview data etc). Anyway, I have now re-installed the entire game. Also, I run many other games on this PC, and I work with this PC, I never have any issues with any other application EXCEPT Railworks 4. This didn't happen in Railworks 3 either, it's happening only since the major core update has been released.

What I also meowticed was: When I verify the files, it takes less than a minute to pass through ... every single time. With 30+ GB of data in that folder, I barely can believe that. It took a lot longer some days ago. Or is that because I just reinstalled all the data? Should I try to play every single map and train cumbination first before retrying to verify the files?

PS: I just managed to get Railworks back to work after the reinstalling process. The SAME error message is appearing in the Free Roam scenario of Cajon Pass, just like before! The consist apparently is missing, even though I paid for it and there was a download taking place after buying the DLC. I think it won't make a change if I uninstall Steam and copy all files over and then back. That is because I did un- and reinstall Steam around 10 days ago, cumpletely. I will now run three more verifiers. Apparently the first verifier now takes a LOT longer than all the others before, so it might just catch the broken files after all. But maybe not.

RSC will take a few days to reply.

I only have 25Gb of files in my TS2013 folder, verify takes about 25 minutes. I watch the progress, sometimes at 30% it jumps to 99%, so I run it again cause I know it missed files. Usually by the third time, I see the progress going 1% at a time. Verify in the past has been broken for all Steam games, not just this one. Sorry, not sure what else to suggest. Just don't throw the PC out the window.

I have watched the verification progress go through and jump to 99% suddenly very quickly after some time. I guess I just won't be able to fix this issue on my own, so can't RCS since they can't remote-control my PC, lol. It's funny that after 3 cumplete reinstallments, always the SD70ACe is broken. Actually, the SD70 Volume 2 addon works fine, and there is a MAC and an ACe as well, they both work without problems, also the activities. It's so strange.

Also, the SBH error comes quite often lately, for example afte finishing the NEC career scenario where you drive from Penny to Trenny. ^^ Anyway, I got used to those with time, even though they never came with RW3, just with RW4.

PS: I just wrote an e-meow and attached the error screenie to RSC. I hope they are gunna answer sumtime soon.

Oh you are not alone in your frustration. I bought the SD70ACe pack last night and I'm having the exact same problems. My SD70 Vol.2 pack I bought on Oct. 28th works just fine and yet the new SD70ACe pack does not. I either get the same message as you (although mine is in English), or when I used Quick Drive on Donner Pass at Truckee, I got a track side camera view of an empty yard. There is no locos or cars there at all to see or to select. And it didn't say any error message like the others scenarios did. The train simply isn't there.

I did multiple cache clears and deleted local content. I even deleted the remaining stuff the steam delete missed and re-downloaded and installed RW 2013 from scratch. STILL the same problems.

I paid $20 on this after waiting for RSC to make it "READY" as they said in an email to me after I inquired about it's absence from steam after RW2013 was released in September. Now I just feel like a sucker. I'm gonna email them now.

UPDATE: I got this from RSC ......

We are currently aware of the issue you have described, our developers are working on a fix and we hope to distribute it on STEAM once complete.

Sweet..... now the wait! At least they know what"s up and are working on it.
