"Incorrect Parameter" error in the blueprint editor. Anyone else?

Unread postby dogmouse » Fri Sep 28, 2012 12:53 pm

Hello everyone!!

Well, since the upgrade from TS2012 to TS2013, when trying to preview a previously made model in the blueprint editor, with a new texture, Im getting an "Incorrect Parameter" error.

It seems there is a problem with the texture conversion over to tgpcdx format, according to the message log.

Is anyone else having this issue?

ps ...the texture was made correctly. :D

Here is the error message >>>>>>>

Hi

I've seen this exact error being reported by three or four different people over the last couple of days. Your best bet has to be to email the details over to RSC, as the more examples they have increases the chances of cause of the problem being indentified.

Cheers

The new Blueprint Editor is buggy. Assuming you made a backup of RW before the update, you could use that copy of BlueprintEditor.exe.

Thanks you guys. I didnt make a backup.

Could either of you (or anyone) send me the older blueprint.exe file, if you still have it? It would be greatly appreciated! !*cheers*!

If I dont reply after this post, it means Im still looking for it.

Thanks,
Rich

Just went to resume work on several projects, and to my distaste, I can easily call the new editors junk. (Before you ask, also just sent tech support a report of the issues). My editor has been caught editing my references from my own Provider and Product info to Kuju and Shapeviewer at its own whim. It refuses to preview shapes, and also seems more prone to crashes. I have since backdated that and all the utilities related files.

I would just like to add this....

If you are having problems with the current blueprint editor.exe file..... then replace it with the previous one, because that is what i did, and it works again, without problem!!

Additionally, I have noticed that as far as previewing the model, ....I've noticed that it will only show the model that you have selected in your modeling program as you exported it over.... in other words, ...if I have a multi object model and only select a part of it at export.... then only that part that was selected will show in the preview editor. That is a totally new feature, as I didnt need to select any part of the model, when I exported it over, previously...

go figure !*don-know!*
