Getting numbers on loco to disappear

So Ive found the Union Pacific/Southern Pacific repaints for the SD40-2 and SD40-2T for Donner Pass and they're quite good. However, using RW Tools I'm having difficulty figuring out how to disable the stock numbers. I'm trying to do this replacing loco's in the first scenario named "Donner Pass", and even unchecking the box "Dont change numbers when swapping stock" doesn't help, it always shows the stock scenario number over the number permanently painted on the repaint on the sides and number boards.

If you unchecked the option "Don't change numbers when swapping stock", and didn't work, maybe they are static numbers and then you cannot change them when swapping rolling stock. Try to swap again the current loco (shown in the pics) by the same loco (uncheck again the option "Don't change numbers...."), and see if it works.
