Can't Start World Editor

Looking for help

Can't seem to get World Editor to open/start
when I tic World Editor from inside a scenario it freezes/stops responding
same thing if I tic at the beginning Editor then tic Edit Route or tic Scenario Editor
the scenarios themselves seems to work just fine in game otherwise

Hellow Again All I've been away from Railworks for a spell & decided this morn wouild like to work more on my own route was building prior to update to RW2013 Now that I'm running RW2013 the route I had been building still seems to function fine but am unable to get into it thru the world editor to continue building...would anyone have an idea next step(s) or perhaps forced to restart the building from scratch?... Just for the hell of it I viewed the various files via RW_Tools & it didn't seem to spit out any messages of issues, missing files, corruptions, ect....Like I say what portion of the route I had built works/functions fine within the sim otherwise... Thank You Again

Sounds like a corrupted file of some sort. I'm not an expert, but what I'd do is make a copy of the route, rename it, then try to edit the route. Thats how my Cajon Pass copy still works

A clone of route was of no help just be copying the same glitch somewhere inside was fine til went to 2013...in the past I would just keep a good save of xml whiles editing & over-write the bad when this very same issue would happen from time to time after auto-updates via Steam. Now that I'm with 2013 even the old good backup xml won't open via editor...the route works great in the sim otherwise. The scenario works fine too, yet Scenario Editor fails to open as well.

Thank You Bob your reply was just what I needed. I went a step further & saved several copies of my problem xml prior to using RW_Tools newer feature to fix this very issue I was having...Required me to update my version of RW_Tools to get this latest fix-it tool... My reason for saving bad xml prior to use was to compare to the fixed version thus now I'm able to see just what entries RW_Tools Corrected for me
