Yup, that looks familiar. Just like your train, my train did not derail, strange stuff. I seem to recall that on my train the couplers were not "coupled " correctly, but it still ran perfectly.

I think that's a coupler issue, they're possibly shoving the collision boxes together but not enough to derail. There was that giant thread about couplers last year, basically they need to be 1000x as stiff :p

EIther that or its a new thing to do with suspension, but I ran a 100 car train the other day with ( mostly ) default hoppers and it didn't do that.

I had the problem as well on the COARW in all of the "Pushers up the Alleghenies" scenarios. When going though those sharp curves between Caldwell and Hart's Run I saw the cars flipping over to the other side and back.
I assume it is indeed a coupler issue, as the effect has since disappeared after I swapped the weak and springy default couplers for stronger and stiffer ones I got off this board.
Since then the couplers aren't pulled out of their pockets anymore either.

Beyond the Kali fixing for couplers, threre is also the BritKits couplers (freeware) and since I started to use them my problems running long consists (say over 80 up to 170 cars, with Middle and DPU engines) have gone away, at least for RSC default wagons.

BritKits couplers? Are those the ones with the brake hose animation? These probably never got "improved" by RSC.
I thought these were payware? If not, where could one get them from?

Replacement Buckeye Coupler

Don't know if has hose animation (I mostly live in cab), I just know fixed the stretching-in-the-air couplers thingy, and therefore stopped derailments.

I use them. I love them.

I've used them since they first came out. For realism, they are a must have.
You can also add them to your locomotives. Be carefull when updating, they will be removed
and you will have to replace them. But well worth the effort.

Lemme see... i recently switched to a custom tracks.bin file for the entire route, and i'm thinking I set that value to the same as Horseshoe Curve. Incidentally, I haven't seen that happen again since I posted the pic. Hopefully it was a momentary glitch.

yes, i have had this before. but once i replaced the default couplers the problem was gone. personaly i prefer GN's couplers due to the texturing he uses.
