How do you reset a scenario

Unread postby LionelDave » Sun Mar 04, 2012 9:20 am

I have run into this problem several time and do not know of a way around it.

I start a scenario and part way through it I save it.

Some time later I come back to it and don't want to finish it; but I want to start over from the beginning. How do i do that. Because when I start the scenario, it starts from where I saved it instead of the begining. While this is good for many cases and I like it. Is there anyway I can start the scenario from the beginning if I want too.

Thanks for any help
Dave

If you don't click "continue" and just click the arrowhead you should start from the beginning.
If God had intended for man to fly, He wouldn't have given us the railroads.

Also, Dave, if you hit the "Resume" button on the opening screen after launching RW, it will pick up from your last save on the most recent Scenario you ran. You might be hitting that one... not sure from your post.

Sam's tip is right on. When you click on a scenario (from any of the listings... By Route, By Train, etc) and you see the "Continue" link above the "Arrow" button (bottom right), that means there is a save of that scenario from last time you ran it. Just hit the "Arrow" button to start from scratch.

Thanks,
Don

Well This isn't the first time I've asked a question like this. *!embar*!

Now that I see how it works I don't know why I didn't figure it out myself.

It worked just like you guys said it would.

Thanks for helping me out.

Dave :D

PS: I have another question that I know I should be able to figure it out but haven't to date. (I'm going to try a couple more time before I post it.) **!!bang!!**

Dave,

One of the limitations of RailWorks is the ability to return only to your latest save point, regardless of how many saves have been made during the run. I want to call your attention to a utility that tracks all your saves and allows you to return to any of them, just like MSTS. The tool, RailWorks Scenarios Manager, is donationware but you can try it at no cost. The creator, Claudio Mussa, has a website at http://www.mcs-software.it/rs/RwScenari ... /index.htm. I highly recommend this if you are less than perfect in your execution of scenarios like me.
