Hi, Does anybody know where I can find a good wagon noise replacement for RW3 I have searched the file Library and even downloaded one from MTS site but it did not work (just a faint noise) and I was noticing people talking about a good one thats out there, and I did a yahoo search but still failed to come up with one. Can anyone give me a little help? Thank you

the only one witch i could suggest you is the soundpack from Walter Jaeschke at http://trainsim.com/file.php?cm=SEARCH . Just type in: ''RailWorks Wagon Sound Pack A'' and you should find it. But you have to sign up to download it. Hope it helps

Regards Kevin

Isn't this the same one as what's at TrainSim?

http://railworksamerica.com/FileLibrary ... Sound_Pack

It's the same date, and I believe it includes both A and B (at TrainSim), going by the file sizes.

The best one I found hands down is the Krellnut Wagon Sound Pack. It's over at http://trains-and-drivers.eu/
Sign up over there it will be under Trains and Drivers Freeware Server.
It's probably the best add on I ever used in the game for realism. I see only 31 people downloaded it. I think the whole community is missing out! !!*ok*!!

Again, isn't that the same one I linked to in my previous post, found in the library here?

I would appreciate it if someone could confirm this. *!!wink!!*

There really is no problem. Why do you see one?

Definitely no reason to go "in the corner". *!!wink!!*

The Krellnut's Wagon Sound Pack of RWA Library requires both manual installing (copy & paste operations) of wagons sounds and then manual installing of level of sounds (there are 4 levels named steps). Also requires previous backup of original files in case of problems or if user wants to revert to default sounds.

The Krellnut's Wagon Sound Pack hosted on Trains and Drivers (with license of author) is the same mod sound asset but has a pack easier to use:
a) automatic install with RWTools feature with 3 clicks of mouse, no manual copy nor previous backup. However it will install only the level considered by Krellnut as closer to the real, according to his expericence when recording the sounds.
b) automatic "restore to default" de-install pack (using also RWTools feature).

The current and direct link is http://freeware.trains-and-drivers.com/ and (I guess) don't need to sign in, just go there and download. *!!wink!!*

All the packs are the same. The reason for a and b at Trainsim is file size. I have a update soon, but I hope everyone who is running the first pack will get the new one. I will ask Hawk to delete the old one, and put the new pack in TS2012-3 section, because that's where I did all the testing.

OK. I'm coming out of the corner to thank Krellnut for his wonderful work. Looking forward to the update. !!*ok*!!
Like I said above. These sounds add a lot of realism to the game. I find myself listening to the cars going by more than I used to. Also been adding the wagon sounds to cars that don't have them and even steam engine bogies and tender bogies. I live next to some NS tracks and often the woman will ask, "Is that you or outside?" !*roll-laugh*! Gotta love that 5.1 surround sound.
